Recognition of Competence

Record of your competence is stored on the National Qualifications Register (NQR). By using your NQR identification number (assigned by the ATO), you can access your records and track your progress at any time or print an unofficial statement of competence.

An official statement of competence is issued on the successful completion of a unit of competence or cluster of units. An official statement of competence must be requested from the NCTVET by the ATO.

The National Vocational Qualification of Jamaica (NVQ-J) is issued once all the required units within a qualification have been successfully completed.
